More casting news! Elizabeth Reaser, a graduate of the same high school Audrey and I attended has been cast in the role of Esme Cullen, Ashley Greene joins the cast as Alice Cullen, Nikki Reed as Rosalie Hale, Peter Facinelli as Carlisle Cullen and Rachelle Lefevre as the villaness, Victoria. We're excited about the movie now!

Smaller roles in the Twilight film have been announced this week with Michael Welch in the role of Mike Newton, Justin Chon in the role of Eric Yorkie, Anna Kenrick playing Jessica Stanley and Cam Gigandet playing villan James. These four join Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson when filming later this week. The release date of the film has been tenatively set as December 12th, 2008. Only ten more months.The release date of Breaking Dawn has been set! Mark your calendars for August 2nd, 2008. The release of the fourth book in The Twilight Saga follows the third in the series, Eclipse, by just a year. Thank goodness Stephenie Meyer writes so quickly. :D
The special edition of Eclipse featuring an exclusive look at the cover and first chapter of Breaking Dawn will debut on May 31st, 2008.

Robert Pattinson (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Vanity Fair) has been cast in the role of Edward Cullen. Stephenie Meyer reminds fans that she did not have any say in the casting of the movie though she is thrilled with the decision of Pattinson. Pattinson, who is British, has mastered an American accent in addition to having read all three Twilight Saga novels. We here at Bella Penombra absolutely adore Pattinson in the role of our hero and cannot wait to see who joins the cast as Audrey's second favorite, Jacob, as well as her favorite, Jasper, and the rest of the Cullens.

Kristen Stewart (SPEAK, In The Land of Women, Panic Room) has been cast in the lead role of Stephenie Meyer's best selling novel 'Twilight'. Summit Entertainment announced the casting and soon the news spread across the internet with Stephenie Meyer making an official statement on her website. She states that she did not pick Stewart to play Bella but is pleased with the decision. No news yet on the rest of the cast, but at least the heroine has been decided.
